Arlberg´s fia ferrata is one of the most beautiful; at the same time also one of the most difficult of its kind in the Alps. For the almost 3 km long distance climbers need 4 to 6 hours. Climbing equipment is absolutely necessary. Those who have the heart to climb up to the impressing height of 2.500m will be rewarded with surpassing panorama of the Lechtaler Alps, the Allgäuer Alps, the Stubaier- and the Ötztaler Glaciers and the Silvretta Mountains. Also the Schnann Gorge is perfectly suited for climbing. 42 tagged routes follow lead up the rock faces. This natural landmark again has been made accessible to hikers and climbers in the last years. Climbers will be accompanied by thunderous torrents and waterfalls on their way up to the top. Those who prefer a more relaxed hike to an ambitious climbing tour can hike along the narrow and fascinating Schnann Gorge.
